The 2023 Nissan Armada is the next-gen model. Thanks to that, the Armada SUV will introduce significant changes. This SUV is also known as the Nissan Patrol in some parts of the world. New model has been spied recently and the latest improvements are more than exciting. That includes various changes on the front fascia and some other exterior parts. The goal is to improve the Armada’s competitiveness.
This model will rival other SUVs such as the Ford Expedition, Toyota Sequoia, and Chevrolet Tahoe. The current generation manages very good sales but Nissan clearly feels there is still room for improvement. We expect a lot from the 2023 Armada and here’s what you should expect.
2023 Armada Redesign
The upcoming 2023 Nissan Armada is still the brand’s largest SUV. However, its dimensions will remain. Armada comes with a unique design and the approaching model will be even more special. Some changes are important, but we can’t say Nissan will deliver a complete redesign. Some parts are exactly the same. On the other hand, Armada will gain a refreshed front fascia. A new stylish grille is available and the headlights are looking sharper.
Interestingly, the new front part looks closer to the Infiniti QX80 model. Overall, the design is better and the base trim level will offer 18-inch alloy wheels. However, the range-topping trim comes with impressive 22-inch wheels. Armada SUV offers 9.1 inches of ground clearance so the off-road ability is pretty decent.
Interior Refreshments
The 2023 Nissan Armada offers three rows of seats. The cabin is very spacious, including legroom, headroom, and even cargo area. Behind the third row, Armada offers 16.5 cubic feet of cargo space. However, folding the rear seats provides up to 95.4 cubic feet of cargo room, which is impressive. This full-size SUV won’t get new trim levels. That means the customers can choose between SV, SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve variants.
The base trim level offers a 14-speaker sound system, navigation, keyless entry/ignition, and an 8-inch touchscreen. By 2023, we expect more standard equipment and the newest driver-assistance aids. For an instance, the base trim offers adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and much more. If you want more luxury, range-topping trim levels are offering leather upholstery, larger display, captain’s chairs, and more high-quality materials.
Regular V8 Gains More Power
The all-new 2023 Nissan Armada will most likely deploy the same engine as the outgoing model. It is a 5.6-liter V8 that delivers 390 horsepower. Some reports are suggesting even more power for the 2023 Armada. The new engine option is not happening so the current V8 will probably gain small improvements.
Thanks to that, Armada will generate around 400 hp. Another mystery is transmission. Some sources are predicting new 9-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, other reports are suggesting the same 7-speed automatic gearbox.
2023 Nissan Armada Release Date and Price
New model will surely cost more than its predecessor. However, the price of the 2023 Nissan Armada won’t be changed drastically. New model will now start at around $50,000 and Armada will compete with Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition, and Toyota Sequoia.
