New 2023 Nissan X-Trail will get plenty of improvements. The X-Trail SUV should arrive with various exterior and interior updates. Some reports are suggesting a replacement for the X-Trail model after 2023. On the other hand, it could arrive with a different name. As you probably know, the X-Trail model is available in the US under the “Rogue” name.
The new model will feature a more angular approach, and it will look more distinctive. Electrification is always on the cards, so don’t be surprised if Nissan delivers a plug-in hybrid variant. The sales will start later next year, and some additional details are already available.
2023 X-Trail Exterior Upgrades
The upcoming 2023 Nissan X-Trail will look very modern and upright. Its design looks bolder than before, and most of the SUV’s styling is inspired by the new Nissan Juke. Thanks to that, new X-Trail will feature split headlights and daytime running lights, for the first time. On the other hand, its prominent grille remains the exterior highlight.
The rear part will host minor upgrades, such as modified taillights. While it looks like X-Trail looks more angular, its back part is actually boxier than before. Generally, X-Trail looks more exciting than its predecessor, and that is a good thing.
Significant Interior Changes
The best part about a new 2023 Nissan X-Trail is its interior. The arriving SUV will get a couple of drastic updates. The Japanese manufacturer will deliver more soft-touch surfaces and additional high-tech equipment. According to the latest sources, X-Trail will keep its current nine-inch touchscreen. The same unit can be found in the Nissan Rogue model.
Nissan will remove traditional dials so the head-up display will feature more controls. The X-Trail SUV will offer more standard equipment too. Nissan will add a couple of wireless systems that should be optional, and new driver-assistance aids are also in the offer. That includes pedestrian detection and blind-spot monitoring.
X-Trail Could Get ePower System
The approaching 2023 Nissan X-Trail will deploy a relatively new CMF platform. It is the same architecture that underpins the third-gen Qashqai model. Moreover, CMF platform is perfect for hybrid systems. This move by Nissan clearly suggests the X-Trail Hybrid model.
The hybrid setup is known as the “ePower”, and it uses a combination of the battery pack and gasoline engine. While nothing is official, X-Trail will surely offer a 2.5-liter engine with 181 hp and CVT transmission will be available too. CMF architecture also suggests a standard front-wheel-drive system.
2023 Nissan X-Trail Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2023 Nissan X-Trail will go on sale at some point in 2021. Most likely, Nissan will launch its new model in the second half of the year. The same is with the US-spec Nissan Rogue. The price will now slightly increase so the 2023 X-Trail will cost around $28,500. Again, nothing is official yet, so the price is still quite a mystery.
A rumored hybrid variant will surely start over $35,000 if it happens. Lastly, X-Trail should arrive with the same number of trim levels as the current model. Some reports are suggesting the end of the production in 2023, but some other stories are saying that the X-Trail SUV will only get a new name.
