According to the newest reports, General Motors is about to introduce a new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZRX. This model will arrive at some point in 2021, and it will directly rival Ford Raptor. Whatsoever, Ram unveiled its Rebel TRX variant too. The Silverado ZRX is another high-performance off-road truck that will provide a lot of improvements.
Spy photos are already available, and the ZRX version will wear upgraded styling. On top of that, its athletic stance looks great and definitely better than the regular Silverado pickup. Chevy will launch its new model in the near future, but this isn’t the first time the ZRX variant is in the works. If you don’t remember, Chevrolet offered ZRX treatment to its Sonoma model in 2003.

As we said, the spy photos are already available. New 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZRX will look sportier and more aggressive than the regular Silverado. This model comes with an athletic stance, but some parts are not visible under the heavy camouflage. The full-size truck will arrive with the same dimensions, but it will look more robust. The lower fascia is gone, and the ZRX version will also introduce special exterior equipment.
For a start, the new front bumper looks unique, and the skid plates are also brand-new. Chevy will provide new tow hooks as well. The ZRX model will get a better approaching angle, which should improve the truck’s off-road capabilities. The rear part is spied with the regular exhaust, so we know the ZRX model will use the same powertrain as the regular Silverado 1500. Lastly, Silverado ZRX will get more ground clearance and brand-new all-terrain tires.
Interior Enhancements
The interior details are unfortunately not available right now. However, the new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZRX will surely introduce a couple of exciting updates. While the regular Silverado pickup already looks impressive on the inside, the ZRX model should look even better. That means GM will deliver a sportier cabin design and more premium materials.
Thanks to that, the customers will enjoy in a higher level of comfort. Furthermore, we expect a longer list of standard amenities and more driver-assistance. Like Sierra, Silverado will introduce significant interior changes. The arriving ZRX truck will get the same treatment for sure.
Performance: Silverado 1500 ZRX Vs. Competition
In terms of performance, the upcoming 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZRX will use a 6.2-liter V8 engine. It is the same output available in the regular Silverado truck. Potent V8 is capable of producing 420 hp and up to 460 lb-ft of torque.
The Ford F-150 Raptor model delivers 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of twisting power. Still, both models are far from the Ram Rebel TRX variant that generates 707 horses. GM didn’t release exact specs yet, but we don’t expect an improvement in terms of performances.
2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZRX Price and Release Date
New 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZRX will arrive at some point in 2021. Most likely, GM will launch its new model in the second half of the year. As we said, the main competitors are Ford Raptor and Ram Rebel TRX trucks. As for the price, the upcoming Silverado 1500 ZRX will cost $50,000 or slightly above that.
