When you talk about the best pickup trucks in the world, Silverado has to be at the top. This pickup truck is one of the best-selling models in its segment. The upcoming 2023 Chevy Silverado will arrive later this year and it will show its latest upgrades. As before, Silverado will have to arch enemies, Ram Dakota and Ford F-150. Of course, we are talking about the Silverado 1500 model but it is the same with the heavy-duty variants. Along with Sierra, Silverado will introduce various refreshments.

The interior will get a completely new look and it is the part that is changed the most. As for the exterior, Chevrolet will deliver minor changes. This pickup comes with both gasoline and diesel engine and 2023 Silverado will even introduce a hybrid powertrain. You can count on numerous trim levels, cab configurations and special editions.

2023 Chevy Silverado Design Has Been Slightly Improved

As we said, a new 2023 Chevy Silverado will arrive with minor exterior upgrades. Visually, this pickup truck is the same as its predecessor. The upgrades are hard to spot buy here is what we know so far. Bodywork has been slightly improved and Chevrolet will offer new moonroof that will be optional. Both MultiPro tailgate and CarbonPro box are available as well. The front part hosts slightly more accents and if you take a closer look, you’ll notice that the front fascia now looks more upscale.

The manufacturer will also deliver more aluminum materials. The goal is to reduce the weight of the vehicle and to enhance its fuel efficiency. Silverado’s architecture could be modified in order to accommodate a hybrid setup. However, this is just a rumor and nothing is official yet. Some other reports are saying that the platform is capable of accommodating new hybrid powertrain.

Interior Host Plenty of Updates

The highlight of the 2023 Chevy Silverado will be its interior. The cabin will host plenty of updates. The same updates will become available on the arriving Sierra 1500 model as well. Chevrolet will deliver a higher level of comfort, for a start. Moreover, interior design is more sophisticated after the latest changes. Whatsoever, Silverado pickup now offers an SUV-like cabin with plenty of modern features.

On the other hand, the interior will remain as practical as before. Even the higher trim levels will get numerous changes. Chevrolet installed larger storage bins and additional high-quality materials. The new infotainment system and larger display are perhaps the highlights of the interior. Chevy said that Silverado will once again offer up to eight trim levels.

2023 Chevy Silverado Powertrain

Under the bonnet, you should not expect any changes at all. Of course, Silverado Hybrid will be a model for itself. The forthcoming 2023 Chevy Silverado will continue to offer reliable 5.3-liter V8 as a standard engine option. This gasoline unit is capable of producing 355 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. 6.2-liter gasoline is optional and it generates 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of twisting power. Diesel is a must and Silverado offers one, a 3.0-liter six-cylinder. As for the mentioned hybrid powertrain, Chevy will pair 4.3-liter V6 gasoline with a hybrid setup. That includes two electric motors and the battery pack. Gasoline V6 is good for 285 horses and 305 lb-ft of torque. With the addition of electric generators, expect even more power. Of course, fuel economy will be rated at around 30 mpg.

Price and Release Date

As for the price, a new 2023 Chevy Silverado will cost around $33,000. It is a small jump in price, but still in line with other competitors. A hybrid model will cost closer to $40,000. Silverado is currently in the works in the company’s plant in Michigan. The sales will begin in the second half of 2020, most likely in the last quarter.
