The next-gen F-150 is almost ready to conquer the markets in the US. We know almost everything about it, including the exterior redesign and further mechanics upgrades. Moreover, the engine option is also a familiar thing. However, the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor is still hiding a couple of details. The main question is its launch date.
The off-road capable pickup truck will gain plenty of updates. However, Ford has the perfect recipe, a combination of power and beefier suspension. On the other hand, Ford will at least try to improve some categories. The price will be slightly higher, and the sales will start in the first quarter of 2023.
2023 F-150 Raptor Redesign
The third-gen 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor will arrive with a sporty appearance and unique styling. It is an aggressive pickup truck with an athletic stance. The front end will get new headlights and a unique front grille. The front fascia looks very distinctive, and even the front bumper is revised. The Blue Oval manufacturer will improve the approach angle, and it will add off-road features such as new skid plates.
The wider body will improve the vehicle’s stability, and larger fender flares are visible at first glance. New Raptor will be lighter than the previous-generation model, and it will ride on 17-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.
Mechanical Upgrades
The forthcoming 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor could get a new coil-spring rear suspension. If that really happens, then the leaf springs won’t be available. Raptor will also gain different essential upgrades. The suspension is longer, and ground clearance is higher than before. Ford said the shocks are upgraded, besides mentioned wider dimensions and improved stability.
The off-road pickup truck will also arrive with new tires and optional bead-lock wheels. The front-axle Torsen differential is optional as well. As a result, the new Raptor will introduce better ride quality and greater off-road experience.
Engine Options and Specs
The Blue Oval manufacturer needs to step up its game after the Ram TRX model entered the high-performance segment. However, the new 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor will hardly beat the Ram TRX in terms of performances. As you probably know, this pickup will produce over 700 horsepower, thanks to its Hellcat engine. As for the Raptor, Ford will upgrade the current 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo powertrain.

Other rumors are suggesting a larger 5.2-liter V8 found in the GT500 car. Lastly, a ten-speed automatic transmission will be offered as standard.

That means the all-new model will cost around $50,000 or slightly above that. The sales will begin in the first quarter of 2023. The first reports suggested for Raptor variant to arrive this summer. However, the COVID-19 outbreak will force Blue Oval automaker to reschedule its plans.
