The upcoming 2023 Ford F-250 is getting further updates after the redesign of the Super Duty lineup. The goal is to keep truck competitive and to rival the new Ram Power Wagon. Tremor package is a new option that will boost the truck’s off-roading abilities. However, Blue Oval manufacturer won’t stop there, and it seems like we could be seeing a new F-250 Raptor variant. This is just a rumor at the moment, and we are waiting for Ford to make it official.
The arriving 2023 F-250 model will remain one of the most capable trucks that you can get in the heavy-duty segment. Still, the maximum towing capacity can be had with Series 3 trucks, dual-rear-wheel setup, and diesel powertrain. Unfortunately, F-250 will offer slightly lower towing capacity. The good thing is that both gasoline and diesel engines will be in the offer once again.
2023 F-250 Tremor Package and Raptor Rumors

Ford introduced a new Tremor package. It is a package that improves off-road capability, and the new 2023 Ford F-250 will benefit from it. The arriving truck will be available in six trim levels, but you can load Tremor in a couple of them. The package is similar to the FX4 variant but better. Tremor comes with unique springs and dampers. Moreover, Wrangler Duratrac tires are available as well. The truck will get a two-inch lift, skid plates, and a new transfer case too. Lastly, F-250 Tremor will introduce Dana limited-slip differential.
On the other hand, Tremor could be easily forgotten if the rumored Raptor version truly arrives. So far, Raptor is available on F-150 and Ranger models. According to the latest reports, the F-250 truck could get the same treatment later next year. The story is that the Blue Oval automaker wants to rival Ram in every possible way. Bronco SUV will rival Jeep Wrangler, and the new F-250 Raptor will directly rival Ram Power Wagon. On the other hand, FCA introduced an astonishing TRX model, so it will be hard for Ford to match FCA’s Hellcat engine.
Specs, Towing Capacity
One category where Ford will dominate the segment is the gasoline engine. New 2023 Ford F-250 will deploy a relatively new 7.3-liter V8 powertrain. This engine is capable of producing 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. With such great figures, this is the most powerful gasoline engine. 6.2-liter gasoline is still available, but not for long. It is a standard engine that delivers 435 hp and 405 lb-ft of twisting power. The second optional engine is a familiar Powerstroke diesel.
It is a 6.7-liter displacement that offers 450 hp and 935 lb-ft of torque. The same engine in the F-350 model generates over 1,000 lb-ft. That means the 2023 F-250 truck could also gain more torque. A 10-speed TorqShift transmission is relatively new, and the F-250 model will once again offer a standard rear-wheel-drive setup. Lastly, F-250 equipped with diesel can tow up to 20,000 pounds.
2023 Ford F-250 Price and Release Date
The price of the forthcoming 2023 Ford F-250 should start at around $47,000. It is a small price increase, and the mentioned Tremor package will cost you an additional $2,000, which is affordable. The sales will begin at some point in 2021, most likely in the second half.
