Finally, the new 2023 Honda Ridgeline is coming. The prototype that is caught recently testing reveals some additional upgrades. This reliable pickup truck is an excellent option if you are looking for something different. Besides excellent capabilities, this truck also has many benefits that separate it from the rest models in the class. We don’t expect a complete redesign, but mid-cycle refreshments are evident on the prototype.
Basically, Ridgeline looks more attractive, and we can expect the same inside. Perhaps the most mysterious part is under the hood. Changes could happen, and we hope to see a hybrid and high-performance Type-R version finally. Black Edition variant will also be in the offer, that is for sure, and we can even expect more attractive styling.
2023 Honda Ridgeline Exterior Changes
When it comes to exterior design, the recently caught 2023 Honda Ridgeline prototype looks refreshed. Basically, this truck is getting a couple of upgrades over the current one. First of all, it remains compact, and dimensionally is the same. Like before, plenty of styling cues are the same as on the Pilot SUV. Generally, both models are sharing the same body on the frame platform and some components.
For 2023, Ridgeline will receive a more stylish front fascia, thanks to the new LED headlights and slightly reshaped grille. Like before, a two-way tailgate is standard. However, more changes are available on the upper trims, like better wheels and more chrome accents. Generally, the most attractive is the Black Edition model, featuring a black grille, wheels, and unique cabin.
More Standard Features
The upcoming 2023 Honda Ridgeline will look more modern inside for sure. This truck every year seems better. Like the previous generation, the new one will once again offer the same layout. Ridgeline has a roomy cabin that can host five persons. However, from some reports, we can expect much more comfort and even more technology.
On the other hand, new standard upholstery is certain, and features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard. If you need more luxury, RTL-E and Black Edition models are a real deal. The RTL-E trim offers leather seating, a 10-way-power driver’s seat, heated front seats, a 540-watt audio system, a blind-spot monitor, navigation, and so on. The Black Edition is the most equipped. This trim offers all the above, plus it adds unique blackout trim, wheels, and interior.
2023 Honda Ridgeline Engine Details
Some of Honda’s existing engines will most likely power the forthcoming 2023 Honda Ridgeline. However, don’t be surprised if the mid-size pickup truck continues to use the same 3.6-liter V6. This engine powers the current model, and it produces 280 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. Although considering that the platform is the same, Ridgeline will be most likely to use front-wheel-drive. Of course, upper trims such as RTL-E or Black Edition will use AWD setup as standard.
A hybrid powertrain is still a rumor, but many believe that Ridgeline Hybrid will happen. Lastly, we hope to see a high-performance Ridgeline Type-R version with much higher output than the rest of the models.
Price and Release Date
Honda will introduce some radical changes to the upcoming Ridgeline truck. Generally, the prototype that is caught testing looks familiar, and it still has a unique design.
According to many gossips, this model could arrive in the second half of 2021. The price will slightly be higher. The current model costs $32,000, and a new version will probably start at $33,500. Top range Black Edition model is the most equipped, featuring plenty of black accents. This model won’t cost below $50,000.
