The upcoming 2023 Ram 2500 Power Wagon has been spied, wearing a lot of camouflage. From the photographer’s statement, the new prototype was spotted few days ago on the streets of Detroit. The Power Wagon is a truck that features much more off-road equipment than the regular Ram 2500. Besides, it also comes with a more sporty interior offering comfortable seats and better techs.
However, like the standard model, the Power Wagon should use the same potent 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine and optional 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel inline-6. No doubt, this heavy-duty off-roader is one of the most eye-catching trucks on the market. Ram recently revealed that the final version would be introduced in the summer, while sales might starts later in the year.

The manufacturer separates the Power Wagon model from the rest, adding a “jail bar” grille that looks more attractive and blacked-out RAM lettering in the middle of the grille. Looking at the side profile, the Ram Power Wagon rides on the new black 17-inch eight-spoke wheels. However, unlike the base model, this truck offers side steps and rock rails as standard.
Cabin Improvements
Inside, the 2023 Ram 2500 Power Wagon will deliver a couple of updates compared to the standard version. First of all, its cabin is comfortable and tech-rich. However, the manufacture also offers one more engine, optionally. The mighty 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel inline-6 engine is Ram’s pinnacle that develops 370 hp and up to 850 lb-ft of torque. The Ram 2500’s tow rating is 19,370 pounds and a maximum payload of 4,520 pounds. Those figures are more than sufficient for most buyers’ needs.
